Applications

Thanks to the combination of different materials and technical solutions, our ILA1-A000-EX analyzer can be used in a wide variety of industrial processes e.g. for process control in chemical processes (such as sulfur recovery), for environmental measurement, exhaust gas measurement in combustion processes or fire power control in coal-fired power plants.

Description

Description

The ILA1-A000-EX In-situ Laser Analyzer consists of a probe with an integrated measuring section. This comprises a transmitter, a reflector, a receiver, a connection flange and a sensor head. A separate HMI unit is also available as an option. The transmitter and receiver are located in the sensor head of the ILA1, while the beam reflector is fitted in the measuring section at the tip of the probe.

A laser beam emanates from the sensor head and penetrates the process gas. The reflector at the end of the measuring section reflects the beam back to the receiver in the sensor head. An integrated system for continuous device flushing with nitrogen (N2) or compressed air prevents dust and other contaminants from coming into contact with the reflector and the other optical components.

The laser measurement system has a modular design and can be configured for a wide variety of measurement tasks. Thanks to the choice of materials (e.g. stainless steels such as 904L, 321H or nickel-based alloys) and the option of thermal decoupling, the system can be used both in corrosive gases and at very high temperatures (up to 900 °C [1652 °F]).

Thanks to its measuring method, the ILA1 Laser Analyzer is very reliable and designed for short response times. It can be used for a variety of gases in industrial and chemical processes and does not require sampling and sample preparation. It therefore helps to minimize downtimes and increase process reliability at low operating costs.

In summary, the ILA1-X000-EX is an optimal analyzer for real-time measurements with very high precision, maximum reliability and minimum maintenance.

Overview

The ILA1-A000-EX In-situ Laser Analyzer measures oxygen (O2) in real time and is designed for industrial applications as well as for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The analyzer requires just one process flange for operation, thus eliminating the need to align a measuring beam running across the process.

The In-situ Laser Analyzer uses a principle known as Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS). This involves analyzing the molecular concentration of a specific gas. Due to the measurement using laser spectral analysis, the result is largely free of cross-sensitivities and other interferences.
